Trial Period with Al-Taawoun

Abdulquddus Atiyah, the former goalkeeper of Al-Wehda’s first football team, is currently participating in a trial period at Al-Taawoun’s training camp in Slovenia., the 27-year-old goalkeeper is under the observation of Argentine coach Rodolfo Arruabarrena, who recently agreed with the club’s management to enhance the team’s goalkeeper position and left-back.

Atiyah, now a free agent after his contract with Al-Wehda expired, played six matches in the previous season. During these games, he conceded 13 goals and managed to keep a clean sheet once. This trial period represents an opportunity for Atiyah to showcase his skills and potentially secure a spot in Al-Taawoun’s squad for the upcoming season.

Al-Taawoun is conducting an intensive preparation camp in Slovenia, which will continue until August 4th, in anticipation of the next season. The team is gearing up for local competitions as well as the elite AFC Champions League 2024-2025.
